Even if we already had exchanged the picture postcards of our towns, we felt like working a bit on the topic and also we wanted to introduce our schools. However, besides a presentation in GOOGLE slides, we decided to let our partners “play” and learn something at the same time. That is why we created a few activities in learning.apps such as “pair game” of a few funny quizzes. It was fun to create them and we hope it was also fun to play them. As friends usually want to as much as possible about each other, in December we also started writing about the news from our schools. At the end of each periods we created a crossword so that our partners can find out how much they remember. Before Christmas we had a discussion in the forum – the students shared their experiences and advised each other about presents to get for their mums and fathers. The threads included topic like “best Christmas present”, “your presents for the others”, “house chores”, “Xmas activities”, “I like Xmas because” or “the presents you might get”. In their fine art classes the students also produced beautiful Christmas cards and sent them to each other by snail mail. We were all very pleased when we got the gorgeous cards from our partners. December was also the month when we met for an evening chat the first time. We used pirate.pad for it and enjoyed chatting with each other very much. As we really liked it, we had a few more chats later.
